Ishpeming- David W. Donato, age 59 Ishpeming resident, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

David was born November 2, 1950 in Ishpeming to Nicholas & Evelyn (Matheson) Donato. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1969 until 1972. Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching sports, playing pool and going for a swim. David was a self employed construction worker for many years, and enjoyed what he did. He also enjoyed & loved his family very much.

Dave is survived by a daughter Brenda Lucas of Green Bay, a grandson Derek Riley, 9 siblings Rocco (Janet) Donato of California, Stella (Bob) Ball of California, Mary Lou (Joe) Suardini of Ishpeming, Irene (Gert) Cevegney of Ishpeming, Tony (Dee) Donato of FL., Rosemarie (Dione "Chic") Cecchini of Ishpeming, James (Barbara) Donato of Ishpeming, Ralph (Helen) Donato of WI, and Nick Donato Jr. of Ishpeming, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Victor, Danny and Arthur.

Funeral services will be held 5:00PM Monday, March 8, 2010 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral home Monday from 3:00PM until the time of service at 5:00PM

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 380 will conduct Military Honors at the conclusion of the funeral service.
