Antigo, WI -David "Bubba" Lee Borlace, age 33, former Ishpeming resident, of 1117 Edison, Antigo, WI passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at his home in Antigo where he had resided for the past five years.


Bubba was born July 22, 1975, the son of Ernie and Margaret (Moyle) Borlace in Ishpeming. He was a 1993 graduate of Westwood High School and attended Northern Michigan University for Criminal Justice. Bubba earned an associates degree from Bay College in Wastewater Management. At the age of 16, he started working at Jubilee Foods and later Blondeau Trucking. In 2004, Bubba began employment with Infrastructure Alternatives as a Wastewater Grade 4 Plant Operator and Lab Technician. He enjoyed hunting and 4-wheeling.

Survivors include his parents: Ernie and Margaret of Ishpeming, 2 brothers: Bob (Pam) Borlace of Iron Mountain and Gary Borlace of Midland, his maternal grandmother Elaine Moyle of Ishpeming and a nephew Aaron Borlace. Also surviving are aunts & uncles: Jackie (Bruce) Pennala of Ishpeming, Robyn (Ken) Kinnunen of Ishpeming, Joleyn (Phil) McCotter of Superior, WI, Liz Miller of Escanaba, Clay (Fiona) Laveau of Escanaba, Jerry Ingerham of Escanaba and Maureen (Tom) Allen of Ishpeming, along with several cousins and his Godmother Jane Mariuzza.

David was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Robert "Pete" Moyle, paternal grandparents Arthur and Dora Borlace, and an uncle and Godfather Joe Moyle.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Fr. Jim Challancin officiating.

The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00AM until the time of service at 12:00noon.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Kyle Kinnunen, Eric Collins, Bob Neimi, John Grove, Todd Belanger and Jeff Wunroow.
