Ishpeming, MI- Darleen Joy Goyen, age 44, Ishpeming resident passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at UP Health System Marquette.

Darleen was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on October 21, 1977, a daughter of Shelba Jean (Smith) and George Peter Leanes.

Darleen graduate from Ishpeming High School, Class of 1995, and received her LPN certificate from Bay de Noc College. Dar worked at UP Health System Bell in Ishpeming.

Dar enjoyed camping, listening to music, painting, and cooking. She and Marc loved riding on their Harley Davidson. Dar was a people person, she loved organizing events, helping others, but her pride and joy was her son Logan.

Darleen is survived by her husband Marc Goyen, a son Logan Goyen, her mother Shelba Johnson, her father George Leanes, her siblings; George (Ann) Niemi, Rhonda (Scott) Gravedoni, Dennis (Kristy) Leanes and Joe (Carley) Leanes, mother-in-law JoAnn Argall, brother-in-law Craig Goyen, sister-in-law, Kelly Pelto, and several nieces and nephews.

Darleen was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Margaret Garceau, and stepfather Roger "Porky" Johnson.

A Celebration of Dar's life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm at the Al Quaal Lodge in Ishpeming.
