Republic- Daniel A. "Mousey" Saari, age 66, longtime Republic resident passed away on Sunday January 20, 2019 at his home.

Daniel was born on March 16, 1952 in Marquette to the late Soini and Mary (Ringuette) Saari. He attended Republic Schools before enlisting in the United States Army to serve his country. He was a lifelong Republic and Squaw Lake resident. Daniel worked as an Iron Worker until a serious car accident placed him on disability in 1980.

Daniel is survived by 3 sisters- Bonnie Jo (Steve) Kauppila, Mary Kay (Allen) Valenzio, Lori (Duane) Laxo, 5 nephews and 1 niece, 1 aunt- Dolores Poag, his extended family Kurt (Christine) Alto and their children especially his godson "Young Kurt", along with several cousins.

The family would like to also extend a thank you to Ronnie Venn who was a frequent visitor.

Dan's family would like to express a huge thank you to Kurt and Chris for their many years of taking such wonderful care of Mousey.

Following Dan's wishes, cremation will take place with no public services.
