Ishpeming- Dale J. West, age 59 of 55 Deer Lake Rd. Ishpeming passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his home while in the loving care of his family and Lake Superior Hospice.

Dale was born November 10, 1955 in Detroit, MI to William E. & Patsy J. (Barber) West. He graduated from Walled Lake Western High School, and graduated Class of 1973. Dale had been working as a commercial truck driver for Roehl Transport where he had worked for the last 18 years.

Dale resided in Ishpeming for the last 25 years, where he enjoyed raising his family. Dale was a craft beer enthusiast, enjoyed camping, playing the guitar and was an avid Red Wings fan. He cherished the time spent with his family ; especially his 2 grand kids.

Dale is survived by his wife Michele (Robert) West, whom he married on October 16, 1976, his parents William & Patsy West of Walled Lake, MI, 2 daughters: Holly (Josh) Reinaas of Marquette, Sarah (William) Kangas Jr. of Negaunee, 2 grandchildren: Anton Reinaas and Leah Kangas with another due in May 2015, 3 sisters: Lynn (Larry) Baker of New Hudson, MI, Kaye (Lynn) Rowe of Novi, MI and Dawn Reimer of Commerce Twp, MI, a brother Roy (Cheryle) West of West Bloomfield, MI, brothers in law Burnell (Donna) Robert of Emmett, MI, Shaun (Terri) Robert of New Bern, NC, and sister in law - Candy West of Walled Lake, MI as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his brother Bruce West.

A memorial service for Dale will be celebrated at 3:00pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Burnell Robert officiating.

Dale's family will greet relatives and friends at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00pm.

A luncheon will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church in Ishpeming following the service.

Memorial considerations may be directed to Cancer Care of Marquette County in memory of Dale.
