Obituary

Marquette, Michigan- D aisy Elizabeth (Gray) G reen (93) a r esident of the D . J . Jacobetti Home for Veterans, died July 4, 2021 .  Daisy was born Feb. 29, 1929, to Gertrude Elizabeth Wright and Harold Gr a y.

She graduated from Pershing High School, Detroit Michigan. Daisy served as a nurse in the United States Naval Reserve (Women's Reserve) (WAVES) during the Korean War. She was honorably discharged in 195 2.

Daisy was first married to Richard Bode in 1953. The y had Donald in 1955 and Dale in 1958.  They parted ways in 196 3 .

Daisy then married Harvey Green in 196 4 . They had Janet in 1966 and Joanne in 1968. While living in Northville, MI Daisy and Harvey would take the four children to the summer camp at Four - Mile lake between Dexter and Chelsea, MI. Fishing, swimming , skiing and just having fun being a kid were the fond memories that she created there.

Daisy was an avid gardener and maintained gardens when she lived in Howell, Michigan and Atlanta, Georgia .

As the kids grew up and had children of their own Daisy en j oyed spending time with her grandchildren,

In her later years, Daisy enjoyed quilting and crocheting and made creative pieces for her family and friends.

Daisy was active at the Presbyterian church in Howell, MI. She and Harvey made Wednesday night taco dinner for the youth group for many years.

Daisy began running later in life and participated in many 5K races in Michigan and Georgia often placing in the Top-10.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Harold, her sister Irene Gray, her brother Nelson Gray, and her husband Harvey Green.

She is survived by her sons Donald (Linda) Bode, and Dale (Debbie) Bode, and her daughters Janet Snider, and Joanne (Glenn) Phillips.  As well as her many grandchildren Christopher Bode and Kelli Bode, Kolton Snyder and Ethan Snyder, Max Phillips and Olivia Phillips.

The family would like to express a special thank s to all the caring staff at the D.J. Jacobetti home for Veterans for the excellent care they have provided to Daisy Green over the years.
