Green Bay, WI / Republic, MI- Curtis J. Hendrickson, age 79, longtime Green Bay, WI resident, and former Republic, MI resident, passed away on Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Unity Hospice in De Pere, WI while in the loving care of his family, and hospice staff.

Curtis was born in Republic, MI on March 5, 1944, son of the late Otto and Esther (Koski) Hendrickson. He grew up in Republic and attended Republic High School, graduating with the class of 1962. Following his high school graduation Curtis attended Northern Michigan University where he received his undergrad prior to attending the University of Michigan where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1968. After graduation from the University of Michigan he began his Dental practice at Webster Dental in Green Bay where he worked for 48 years. Curtis married his wife of 57 years Susan DuBord on October 9, 1965 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Republic.

Curtis was a member of the Optimist Club of Green Bay, along with multiple dental society groups over the years. He earned his fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and was the 1983 President for the State of Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry. Curtis enjoyed downhill skiing, hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, RVing, golfing, bowling, snowmobiling, collecting antique automobiles and showing them at car shows, grilling, cooking, scuba diving, going to his camp in Republic for Hunting, and in his younger years he played varsity basketball for 4 years, ran track, and played baseball.

Curtis is survived by his wife- Susan (DuBord) Hendrickson, 3 children- Diana (Tim) Petre, Michael (Angie) Hendrickson, Teresa (Scott) Schmitt, brother- Lester (Carolyn) Hendrickson, 3 sisters-in-law- Allayne Kent, Elaine Hendrickson, Alice Hendrickson, 8 grandchildren- Eric and Evan Petre, Raymond and Rylee Strick, Sonja Hendrickson, Anna, Henry, and Greta Schmitt, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers- Melvin and Patricia Hendrickson, Kenneth Hendrickson, Wesley Hendrickson, sister-in-law- Kathy Hendrickson, sister-in-law- Maryann Orzulock, and father and mother-in-law- Archie and Violet DuBord.

Curtis' family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday October 3rd from 9:30am until 11:00am EST at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am EST with Rev. Alex Ross officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Republic Township Cemetery.

Curtis' family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU unit at Aurora Green Bay and the Unity Hospice in De Pere for the wonderful care and services they gave to Curtis.
