Humboldt Twp- Corinne A. Heikkila, age 83 of Humboldt Twp, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at her home.

Corrine was born June 23, 1928 in Flint, MI to Orville & Alma (Bremmer) Woodbury. Corinne and her late husband Edward moved to the Upper Peninsula in the early 1950's and resided here ever since. They enjoyed traveling together throughout the United States. She enjoyed boating, fishing, sewing and crocheting.

Corrine is survived by a son Thomas (Robin) Heikkila of Humboldt, 2 grandsons: Thomas E. (Kari) Heikkila of Forest Lake, MN and Jason D. Heikkila of Shakopee, MN, 2 great grandchildren: Thomas Heikkila III and Ava S. Heikkila, 3 sisters Norma McDonald of Alger, MI, Molly Walmbold of Flint and Anita Paschick along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward in 2008, a son Bryan Young and a sister Joanne Martin.

A private graveside service will be held at the Humboldt Township Cemetery.
