Republic - Corinne E. French, age 73, of 4282 Basswood Lane Republic, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at UP Health System Marquette.

Corinne was born in Ishpeming on July 9, 1947 a daughter of the late Estella (Martti) and Elmer Skogman. She was a graduate of the Republic High School, Class of 1964 and then from NMU's nursing school. She worked as an LPN at Bell Hospital Ishpeming for 36 years.

Corinne was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic.  She enjoyed family game night, flower gardening, refinishing furniture, cross stitch, adult coloring books and doing crossword puzzles daily.

Survivors include two daughters - Teresa (Curtis) Laakso of Republic; Kimberly (Michael) Martin, of Republic; two sons - Richard French of Champion; George (Cathy Beltrame) French of Ishpeming; 4 grandchildren - Anna & Aaron Laakso, Grace & Ellie Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband George French in 2015, a sister Myrna Skogman, and a brother Dale Skogman.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held at this time. A graveside service will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be direct to Bethany Lutheran Church of Republic.
