Tell Me Why (Written by her husband)

Can you tell me why

I can't stop this insatiable cry

I'm so lonely without her here

I think I'm going to cry again I fear

Can't believe she was stolen away from me

Don't understand how lonely it can be

Just a few hours ago I kissed her

And told her until morning how I would miss her

My heart was broken on that very first day

To God I couldn't even pray

I felt anger toward him all the more

And thought to me He'd slammed heaven's door

My heart was crushed like a little hurt kitten

Then I remembered what He had written

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only son...."

So we could enter heaven one by one

Slowly I fell to my knees in prayer

Knowing in my heart how much He did care

Knowing that soon I'll be with my sweet wife

Thinking about her daily for the rest of my life

Then I grabbed the Bible from the shelf

And read each line full of wealth

It filled my heart beyond a simple measure

And it gave me solace like no mere treasure

He answered my prayers with only this line

"She's in peace now, she's another angel of mine"

"Now with comfort in her heart she waits for you"

"I'm not the only one that loves her, You do too"

Everyday that goes by from now until then

I take comfort in her love like it's always been

It gets me by from hour to hour

Remembering her face like the dew on a flower

So I'm living each day down here on earth

Can't hardly wait until my rebirth

Come holy spirit into my life

So I can join the angels, and my sweet wife.
