Negaunee- Concetta Mary Ellis, age 83 of 98 Croix St. Negaunee, passed away Saturday, November 08, 2008 at the Eastwood Nursing Center where she been a resident for the past 2 months.

Concetta was born March 19, 1925 in Ishpeming to Vito & Nancy (Frustaglio) Ombrello. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. Concetta worked as a cook, working at many area restaurants including the Venice, Mather Inn, Johnny's and the Townhouse Restaurant… She enjoyed cooking and spending time with children.

Concetta is survived by her husband Gordon Ellis, whom she married January 27, 1990, 2 children: Dennis Sestito of Florida and Ann (Dave Winquist) Sestito of Ishpeming, 2 brothers Phillip (Louise) Ombrello of Negaunee and Victor (Marion) Ombrello of Gwinn, 2 sisters: Lucille "Lucy" Stancliff of Illinois and Antoinette "Dolly" (Dean) Carlson of Ishpeming, 6 grandchildren: William V. Langson, Connie (Josh Larson) Langson, Don Langson, Vincent Sestito, Denise Sestito, Terri Morcom, 7 great grandchildren: December Larson, Vincent Sestito, Cecelia R. Sestito. Grant Hill, William V. Langson Jr, Miranda S. Langson and Jonathan Korpi, numerous nieces and nephews. Concetta was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Vincent Sestito, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

A private family service will be held at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
