Ishpeming – Clinton C. Watters, age 95 of Ishpeming Twp. entered eternal life on at 8:55pm on Thursday February 24, 2011 while resided at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp.


Clint was born July 11, 1915 in Green Creek Loc. the son of the late Samuel and Jennie (Gjolme) Watters. He was raised in Green Creek Location and attended the National Mine School. Clint moved to Milwaukee, WI for employment landing a job as a cross country semi-truck driver. In 1941 he married Mary M. Moslavac of Milwaukee and together they raised five children. In 1951, he moved back to Ishpeming and worked in the construction business mainly for the Caspian Construction Co. Following his retirement he moved to Apache Junction, AZ where he stayed until 2000 when he returned again to Ishpeming.


Survivors include his children – Judith (Jay) Dorenbecker of Traverse City, Patricia (Dennis) Engmann of West Bend, WI, Clinton R. Watters of Arizona, and Yvonne "Bonnie" (Joseph) Higgins of Oklahoma, a brother Ray Watters of Ishpeming, Sisters – Katherine Anderson of Ishpeming, Betty McEachern of Marquette and Grace (Wilbur) LaValley of Marquette, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 1999, a daughter Barbara Bjorklund in 2004, brothers – James, Russell, Robert, and George Watters, and sisters Ethel Hartman and Olive Huot.


The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am – 12:00noon on Monday February 28, 2011 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming where funeral services will follow at 12:00noon with the Rev. Tim Ott to officiate. Entombment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.


The family wishes to thank the staff at the Mather Nursing Center for the exceptional care during his stay. Clint was so thankful, especially to his brother Ray, and also surviving sisters for there assistance and care.
