Obituary

Ishpeming- Clifford L. Jandron, age 82, Ishpeming resident passed away on Saturday April 16, 2022, at his daughter's residence while in the loving care of his family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Clifford was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on October 9, 1939, to George Lufkas and Evelyn M. Jandron. As a young adult Cliff proudly started to go to be a priest until he found out he could not have a girlfriend.

Cliff worked as an underground miner at the Mather B and worked at the Tilden Mine, working for Cleveland Cliffs for 30 years. He also worked as a sider contractor through out Wisconsin and as a fabricator for Spincraft in Milwaukee.

Cliff enjoyed playing cribbage, playing in the Ishpeming Cribbage League for 20 years, also played in the grassroots tournament in Green Bay. He enjoyed listening to country music and would attend the Hodag Country Music Festival and trips to the Grand Ole Opry. Cliff was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Cliff is survived by three children; Tami Jandron of Negaunee, Scott (Lorinda) Jandron of Negaunee and Kelly (Herb) Walline of Ishpeming, siblings; Robert (Laura) Stone of Seymour, WI, Sandra Stone of Milwaukee, Roy Stone of Georgia and Carol Woods of Milwaukee, seven grandchildren; Sara (Josh) Porter, Steve "Moose" (Jessica) Waino, David (Michelle) Mattson, Melinda (Eric) Goethe, Rebbecca Jandron, Rachel Eiensberg and Ryan Jandron, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gail, a brother Alfred Ongie and sister Belmere Wendt.

In honor of our dad's wishes, he did not want anyone being sad and crying over his passing. He told us he was ready, and he had a good and full life. He was very proud of all his accomplishments in life.  He may not have been famous and a celebrity, but he was very well liked and would always help anyone in any way he could. So please help us celebrate his great life he had with all of us.

A Celebration of Clifford's life will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Ishpeming ELK's Lodge from 4:00-8:00 PM, there will be a potluck and at 6:00 pm will be a time to share memories and stories.

In lieu of flowers, memorial considerations may be made to the Marquette Senior Center 300 W. Spring St. Marquette, MI 49855 in memory of Clifford.
