Obituary

Ishpeming- Clarence "Pat" Rochon, age 82 of 111 Bluff St. Apt 413, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Mather Nursing Center where he had been a resident since March 2013.

Clarence was born October 24, 1930 in Crosby, MN to Clarence & Gladys (Way) Rochon. He served his country as a paratrooper in the US Army during the Korean War.
Pat worked as a miner/ driller for Inland Steel retiring in 1983. He also worked at the limestone quarry in Manistique.

Pat was an avid rock, stamp and coin collector. He was a master gardener and loved to fish. Pat didn't father any children but was like a father to all his nieces and nephews.

Pat is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ida Mae (Snell) Rochon, brother, Leon A. Rochon of Ishpeming, nieces: Bonnie Howe of Champion, Sarah Smith of Gwinn, Donna (Dale) Aho of Champion, nephew Leon (Sue) Rochon of Grand Junction, CO, great nieces and great nephews: Stacey (Wayne) Filizetti, Jason Aho, Jennifer (Mike) Neihaus, Cory Smith, Lindsey Howe, and Adam Aho, 4 great great nieces and 1 great great nephew.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Northland Chapel Gardens in Negaunee with Pastor Kevin McIlhany officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 380.

A luncheon will be held at the Ely Township Hall, 1555 Co. Rd. 496 Ishpeming following the service for family and friends. Please join them at the luncheon even if you aren't able to attend the memorial service.
