Ishpeming Twp, Claire L. (Nardi) Guthrie, age 91 of 1701 Lily St. Ishpeming passed away on Friday December 9 2016.

Claire was born in Ishpeming on September 18, 1925 to Bruno & Concetta (Tasson) Nardi. Claire married James H. Guthrie on December 29, 1960 and the two of them lived in many locations around the country and various parts of the World. While living in California Claire enjoyed gardening and had beautiful flower gardens Claire was a good Italian cook, known for her homemade meatballs. She enjoyed the companionship of her poodles.

Claire is survived by her husband James Guthrie, 4 sisters: Rose Collick of Ishpeming, Patricia Burkman of Marquette, Nancy Hewitt of Palmer and Teresa (Melvin) Leivo of Palmer, a brother Francis C. Nardi of Ishpeming along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Claire was preceded in death by her parents Bruno & Concetta Nardi, sisters; Delores Jones and Mary Ivey, and brothers: Bruno and Joseph Nardi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating. Claire's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00am on Tuesday at St. Johns Church. A luncheon will follow the service at K/D Hall.

Memorials may be directed to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church memorial fund in memory of Claire (Nardi) Guthrie.
