Ishpeming- Cindy L. Hemmila, age 50 of 403 N. Main St Ishpeming passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017.

Cindy was born November 18, 1966 in Ishpeming to the late Henry & Ruth (DeToma) Hemmila. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, class of 1984. Cindy worked as a cook at the Venice Pizzeria and as a cashier at the Oasis in Ishpeming. She loved to garden and loved her dogs.

Cindy is survived by an aunt Dorothy Waters of Ishpeming, 6 first cousins: Bill Hemmila of Gwinn, Bob (Deb) Hemmila of Santa Ana, CA, Judy Edwards of Max Meadows, VA, Gina (Randy) Magstadt of Maple Grove, MN, Reg Waters of Ishpeming and Randy (Susan) Luoma of Ishpeming, along with extended family and friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Ruth & Heikki Hemmila, along with aunts and uncles.

"Celebration of Life" to remember Cindy Hemmila on Monday, May 29 from 1 to 3 pm at the Al Quaal Clubhouse, Poplar Street in Ishpeming. Cake, coffee and pictures will be served. Please no flowers, memorials to help cover expenses would be appreciated
