Obituary

Ishpeming- Charles H. Roberts, age 82 formerly of 200 N. Third St Ishpeming, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, where he had been a resident since December 2006.

Charles was born May 18, 1925 in Marquette to Charles H. & Marguerite (Bordeau) Roberts Sr.; Charles served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for the Cleveland Cliffs Mining Company as a kiln operator at the Humboldt Mine, he retired in 1984.

Chuck was a member of the Ishpeming V.F.W. Post 4573, Ishpeming Choral Club, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming where he sang in the church choir. Charles enjoyed hunting, and fishing in his younger years and more recently enjoyed traveling, going to casino's and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Chuck is survived by his wife Rose (Carello) Roberts, whom he married December 7, 1946, 2 children: Judith (Peter) Bramschreiber of Menominee, MI and Terry (Kathy) Roberts of Ishpeming, grandchildren: Sara (Chris) Daley of Menominee, Beth & Luke Roberts of Ishpeming, 2 step grandchildren: Peter (Amy) Bramschreiber Jr of Crofton, NE and Paul Bramschreiber of Menominee, 2 great grandchildren Regan & Connor Daley, and an aunt Dottie (Charles) Genetti of Clawson, MI. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Shirley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00p.m. Saturday June 2, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. James Challancin officiating. Burial will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Friends may call the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home Friday (Today) from 6:00-8:00p.m where the Ishpeming V.F.W. Post 4573 will conduct a memorial service at 8:00p.m. Friends may also call on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 11:00a.m. until the service time at 1:00p.m.

Pallbearers will be Luke Roberts, Peter Bramschreiber, Chris Daley and Keith Roberts.
