Tilden Twp.- Catherine Ann "Cathy" Keto, age 80, of Tilden Twp. resident passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at UP Health System Marquette, shortly after being admitted.

Catherine was born in Marquette on January 29, 1940, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Brosius) Ilves and Leonard G. Hicks.  She worked as a housekeeper at the Mather Nursing Home.

Cathy played in Women's Softball, bowling and horseshoes leagues, she loved playing card especially cribbage with her son.  She was an avid Packers and Tigers fan.  She and Gene loving wintering in Apache Junction, AZ.

Cathy is survived by her husband Gene R.  Keto of 37 years, a son Richard (Theresa) Sihtala, of Abrams, WI, grandchildren, Karen Townley of Las Vegas, NV, Nina (Joe) Walton of Oconto Falls, WI and Natalie (Drew) Walker of Payson, UT, five sisters, Patricia Dishaw, of TN; Nancy Albright, of Marquette; Dolores (Dennis) Carlson, of FL; Diane (Gerald) Morcom, of Gwinn; Marjorie Williams, of Fort Wright, KY five brothers, Frederick "Dale" (Erica) Hicks, of Colorado Springs, CO; Jim Hicks, of Abilene, TX; David (Donna) Hicks, of Abilene, TX; Arvid Ilves, of Tucson, AZ; Bruce Ilves, of Greenwood Location; along with 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father Leonard Hicks and her mother Dorothy (Arvid) Ilves, a brother Robert Hicks, and a sister Dorothy Swindell.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday July 13, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming.
