Ishpeming, MI- Casey R. Massie, age 45, Ishpeming resident passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Casey was born in Ishpeming on March 19, 1976, son of Carol (Johnson) and Michael Massie. Casey graduated from Westwood High School, Class of 1994 and played on the 1994 team that beat Saginaw Buena Vista to reach the semi-finals. He received a bachelor's degree in IT from Northern Michigan University.

Casey worked in sales for many area businesses. Casey excelled in sales because he had an art for making people feel like he'd known them forever. He brought so much joy and fun to every situation with his ability for story-telling and infectious laughter. He enjoyed all sports, especially playing basketball and golf, he enjoyed the outdoors and had a love for music. He was and is a beautiful soul.

Casey is survived by his son Dylan Mackey, his mother Carol Massie, father Michael (Debbie) Massie, brother Cory (Aimee) Massie, and their children Colt and Cale, stepbrother Lee Kukula, stepsister Kristal (Doug) Pennala and their children Joslin, Colin, Kenzie, Briana, Hayden, and Parker.  His girlfriend Lisa Helstein and her children Griffin and Halle, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Casey was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Private family services will be held.
