Obituary

Ishpeming Twp.- Carole A. Giotto, age 71 of 245 S. Pansy St., Ishpeming Twp., passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus in Rochester, MN with her loving family at her side.

Carole was born December 7, 1943 in Ishpeming to the late Carl T. & Bernice (Morris) Mason. She graduated from National Mine High School, class of 1961. Carole worked for Bell Memorial Hospital for 30 years, working as a physical therapy aide.

Carole was a member of the former Salisbury Methodist Church and was currently a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, and shopping. Carole was a volunteer for RSVP and was generous to others. She and her husband Richie would enjoy wintering in Florida. Carole would always look forward to her monthly gatherings with her high school classmates. Carole's great joy came from her family, she was especially proud of her granddaughters.

Carole is survived by her husband Richard Giotto of 53 years, a daughter Debbie (Steve) Nault of Ishpeming, a son Michael (fiancee` Angela O'Brien) Giotto of Mt Juliet, TN, a brother William (Janice) Mason of Ishpeming, her mother in law Irene Giotto, sister in law, JoAnn (Jerry) Albertson, brother in law Joseph (Shari) Giotto, grandchildren: Jenna (fiance` Lee Warlin) Nault, Emily (fiance` Tony Walker) Nault, Kaylee (Eric) Major, Stacey Nault, Stephanie Nault, Jacob & Emma O'Brien, great grandchildren: Nora Carole Walker, Makayla, Anna, Taylor, Noah, Faith and Allie along with nieces, nephews and cousins. Carole was preceded in death by her parents Carl & Bernice Mason, and an infant sister Peggy.

Funeral service for Carole will be held at 5:30 PM on Monday June 15th at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming with Rev. JJ Mannschreck officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Carole's family will greet relatives and friends on Monday June 15th at the Wesley United Methodist Church from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 5:30 pm.

A luncheon will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service.

Pallbearer's will be Bill, Bradley & Danny Mason, Tom Estes, Lee Warlin and Tony Walker.

The family would like to thank Dr. Prevost, Dr. Acharya and the staff at the Oncology Unit for the wonderful care provided to Carole over the past 4 years.
