Negaunee – Carol J. Tresedder, age 87, longtime Negaunee resident passed away peacefully on Thursday December 3, 2015 at 9:00pm while at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee.
Carol was born Sept 19, 1928 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Verner and Ruth (Pierce) Felt. She grew up in National Mine until as a young adult she met and later married Donald Tresedder. They raised their 5 children in Negaunee and would spend family weekends at camp in Gwinn. Carol was a proud mother and wife always taking care of her families needs first. Her working career was as a seamstress at the H W Gossard Co., Levine's Dept Store and Prange's.
Carol and Don enjoyed traveling in there Motor coach during retirement, spending the winter months in the southern states, being especially fond of South Texas. Their travels came to an end following Don's stroke 8 years ago.
Survivors include a daughter Maureen (Dusty) Ferguson, 3 sons – Ed (Jackie) Tresedder, Gary (Kathy) Tresedder and Neal (Julie) Tresedder all of Negaunee, a daughter-in-law Patty Tresedder of Rothschild, WI, 3 sisters – Ann Raasch of Milwaukee, WI, Claire Tunell of DE, Helen (Jerry) Thompson of Walled Lake, a brother Allan (Barb) Felt of Willow, AK, 14 grandchildren – Jody (Pierre Bergougnan, Dana (Rebecca) Ferguson, Gina (Boone) Bell, Jennifer (Dean) Larsen, Katy, Garrett, Kayleen, Sarah, Ashley, Hannah, Brad (Gina), Don, Megan and Scott Tresedder, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Tresedder in 2011, a son Bill Tresedder in 2010, granddaughter Dusti Marie Ferguson, her twin sister in infancy Coralee Felt along with 3 other sisters – Marion Simmons, Christine Laitenen, Pauline Andrews and a brother Spencer Felt.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 2 until 4pm on Monday December 7, 2015 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming. A service of remembrance will be held at 4:00pm officiated by Fr. John Shiverski. Following the service all are invited to the Venice in Ishpeming for a time of fellowship and a meal. Interment will take place at the Negaunee Cemetery.
