Ely Twp. – Carl E. Anderson, Sr. age 39 of 31878 Co. Rd. 496 in Ely Twp. passed away on Tuesday August 14, 2007 as a result of injuries sustained in a three-wheeled ATV accident on Co. Rd. 496 in Ely Twp.

Carl was born at the Travis Air Force Base in California on March 13, 1968 to Clayton John Anderson Jr. and Donna (Gwenn) Anderson. Carl obtained his GED from Marquette High School and worked as a sawyer for many years. He moved Texas in 2001 where he owned and operated the C and C Co. for a couple of years. He returned to this area 4 years ago and has resided here since. Carl enjoyed motorcycling and heavy metal music and spending time with his son Carl Jr.

Survivors include his parents: Clayton Anderson and his wife, whom Carl called "Mama Sunny" of Ely Twp. and his mother: Donna Anderson of North Lake Location, a son: Carl Jr. of Ishpeming, paternal grandfather: Clayton Anderson Sr. of Marquette, Special grandma: Florence Ponchaud of Crystal Falls, sister: Dawn (Arthur) Varty of Big Bay, brothers: Aaron Anderson of Arizona, and Christopher Anderson of North Lake, six nieces and nephews, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandma Martha Anderson and maternal grandma Barbara Woodson.

A funeral service will be held 3:00p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Humboldt Twp. Hall with David Helwig officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00p.m. until the time of service at the Township Hall on Saturday. Internment will take place at the Humboldt Township Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Twp. Hall.

Pallbearers for the service will be Christopher Anderson, Pete Revello, Paul Revello, James Petersen, William Petersen, and Aaron Ponchaud.
