Hancock, MI- Brian D. Chilcote, age 54, of Hancock and former Ishpeming resident passed away on Saturday August 19, 2023, at his residence.

Brian was born in Fostoria, Ohio on August 15, 1969, a son of Jane R. (Korpi) and the late John J. Chilcote. Brian graduated from Westwood High School, Class of 1987.

Brian worked in food service for many years, being a former manager of Culvers in Marquette and Escanaba and the current General Manager of Culvers in Houghton.

Brian was a member of New Life Church of Marquette. He enjoyed playing games on his phone and keeping up with current news events. In his young years he enjoyed playing the drums, playing in various bands, and most recently with the music team at New Life Church.

Brian is survived by his mother Jane (Jerry) Tackett of South Carolina, a brother Jeff Chilcote of Ishpeming, uncle Dennie Korpi and family, uncle Lee Chilcote and family, lifelong best friend August Olgren and family, and long-time family friend George Niemi and his family.

Brian was preceded in death by his father John Chilcote and a brother Michael Chilcote.

There will be a small gathering of family to commemorate and celebrate Brian's life.
