Republic- Bonnie M. (Ritola) Grant, age 63, life long Republic resident passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at UP Health System Marquette.

Bonnie was born August 28, 1953 in Marquette to Wilho & Violet (Maki) Ritola.  She graduated from Republic-Michigamme High School, class of 1971 and received a Bachelors of Science degree from Northern Michigan University in 1975.  Bonnie worked as a floral designer at Forsberg Flowers and continued to work at Forsbergs- A New Leaf in Marquette, where she worked for over 25 years.  Bonnie was an animal lover.

Bonnie is survived by her father, Wilho Ritola, 2 brothers: Steven Ritola and George (Gayle) Ritola all of Republic, 2 nieces Shannon Demboski and Lindsay (Tom) Workman, extended family John Groskreutz and Yvonne Dunlap, Aunts: Maryann Voegtline of Marquette, Concetta Maki of Ishpeming, Uncles: Carlo Maki of Marquette, Wilhart Aho of Ishpeming and David Laitala of Michigamme.  Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother Violet Ritola.

A private graveside service will be held at the Republic Twp Cemetery with Rev Kevin Kaiser to officiate.
