Ishpeming – Bonita I. Castro, age 51 of 105 York St. Ishpeming passed away at 8:35am on Wednesday April 18, 2012 at the Marquette General Hospital.


Bonita was born May 11, 1960 in Pineville, LA the daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys (Holland) Jackson. She graduated from high school in Pineville, LA. She had worked locally at the Northwood's Restaurant and MacDonald's for a brief time. Bonita enjoyed camping, cooking – especially hamburgers on the porch at camp, shopping and traveling. She had attended the Good News Assembly of God in Ishpeming.


Bonita is survived by her daughter Dawn Brown of Ishpeming, Dale Castro of Ishpeming who was her love of the past 23 years, 5 sisters – Rita Gilbert, Janelle Anthony, Judy Jackson, Caroline Roszell, and Marilyn Lambright, 3 brothers – Cecil Jackson, Jerry Jackson and Joseph Jackson all of Louisiana, along with numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will greet relatives and friends from 1 until 2pm on Saturday April 21, 2012 at the Good News Assembly of God in Ishpeming. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday with the Rev. John Roy to officiate.
