Obituary

Big Bay – William E. "Bill" Tull, age 68, of 300 Balke Ave., Big Bay, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at his home of an apparent heart attack.

Bill was born December 1, 1945 in Newberry, MI the son of the late Percy and Jeanette (Brunette) Tull. Bill was a graduate of the Marquette High School. He had lived in Big Bay for many years and worked for the Marquette Co. Road Commission, snow plowing in the winter months and doing road maintenance in the summer months. Bill retired at age 55, he kept busy in his new garage, acquiring toys / heavy equipment to play with at the camp in the woods. Most recently he enjoyed the project of building a camp on Squaw beach.

He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed boating and fishing on Lake Superior, along with hunting of any type. Bill was not a fussy man, and could usually be found working in his garage. He will be remembered fondly by his daily coffee clutchers in Big Bay.

Survivors include 3 sons – William (Julie) Tull, Jr. of Scottsdale, AZ, Joe (Kim) Tull of Negaunee and Dennis (Lisa) Tull of Scottsdale, AZ, his eight grandchildren who were Papa Bill's pride and joy – William Tull III, Zebrina, Tyler, Ashley, Wyatt, Maggie, and Jake Tull and Ellie Marvel, 2 great grandchildren – Kyle and Billy Tull, his former wife Karen Tull of Scottsdale, AZ, along with his fishing buddies and close friends, Socks, Charlie, Ron, Bill, Mike and Dennis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Ted Tull in 1987.

A time of remembrance will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Monday, January 6, 2013 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming, where relatives and friends may share stories and memories of Bill's life. Interment will take place in the Big Bay Cemetery in the spring.
