Ishpeming- Beverly M. Nelson, age 80, longtime Ishpeming area resident, passed away on Monday February 15, 2021 at her oldest granddaughter's home while in the loving care of her family and UP Home Health and Hospice.

Beverly was born in Ishpeming on June 18, 1940, daughter of the late Floyd and Dorothy (Bond) Palmer. She grew up in Ishpeming and worked in housekeeping at the Mather Inn while raising her family with her late husband Everett Nelson whom she was married to for over 50 years.

Beverly enjoyed going dancing with her sisters, reading, going out for coffee with  her niece Carol, going for walks in her younger years, watching the birds, and most of all spending time with her family. She was like a second mother to her grandchildren and was always around for them as they were growing up.

Beverly is survived by her daughter- Deborah (Curt) Clement, 2 granddaughters- Angela (Dennis Miller) Andriacchi, Jennifer Andriacchi, 4 great grandchildren- Mariah, Jaydn, and Ava Andriacchi, Camryn Miller, siblings- Marilyn (Kenny) Argall, David (Carol) Palmer, Kathy West, brother-in-law- Rodney Koivula, along with several nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett Nelson, a son Danny Nelson, great grandson- Jakob Andriacchi, brother and sister-in-law- Doug and Liz Palmer, sisters- Ginny Koivula, Margie Sanchez, and brother-in-law- Gary West.

Following Beverly's wishes, cremation will take place with burial in the Ishpeming Cemetery in the spring.
