Negaunee- Betty A. Henson, age 86, longtime area resident, passed away on Friday March 29, 2019 at the Eastwood Nursing Center while in the loving care of her family, and nursing home staff.

Betty was born on April 10, 1932 in Marquette, daughter to the late Wilfred and Ruby (Miller) Giroux. She loved to read, knit, crochet, watch the Detroit Tigers and Lions, and go to the Up North Lodge for ribs.

Betty is survived by 3 children- Mark (Gale) Henson, Glen (Roberta) Henson Jr., Beverly Langford, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother- Donald Giroux, sister- Jean Stanley, and grandson- Joseph Henson.

Graveside services will be held for Betty in the spring.
