Ishpeming- Betty K. Dunn, age 88 formerly of 512 Poplar St. Ishpeming, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Marquette County Medical Care in Ishpeming where she had resided for the past 4 years.

Betty was born January 26, 1921 in Munising to Nicholas & Borghild Morris. She graduated from the Mather High School in Munising. She moved to Ishpeming in 1954 and resided here since. Betty enjoyed knitting mittens and gloves for the Ishpeming Senior Citizens center. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with her friends, along with ceramics and gardening.

Betty is survived by a son: Hayden "Rex" (Kaye) Dunn Jr. of Ishpeming, a daughter Irene Rosenbaum of Bedford, IN, great grandchildren - Lindsey & Zachary Johnson, along with several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bill Dunn, a brother Alfred Morris and 2 granddaughters - Lisa and Leslie Runyan.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday March 19, 2009 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00pm until the time of services.
