Barbara Lanette Tarbox, age 55, of Ishpeming, passed away at UP Health System Marquette on December 26, 2021, with her daughter at her side.

Barbara was born on May 14, 1966, the youngest child of Sarah (Malmgren) Perry. She attended Marquette Senior High School before marrying Paul Paquette and starting their family. Together they had one daughter, Tonya (Tarbox) Ringuette.

Barbara loved the animals that were blessed to surround her. She could often be found spoiling her dogs, or nurturing the fish, frogs, and toads that resided in the aquariums she cared for. Barbara's artistic talents were enjoyed by those who knew her, and she always made note of the art seen in nature: from the flowers alongside her home to the birds that visited her yard. She was lovingly known as "MaGee" to her grandson Troy, whom she encouraged to embrace the beauty and silliness of life.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Sarah Perry; daughter, Tonya (Tarbox) Ringuette; son-in-law, Shawn Ringuette; grandson, Troy Ringuette; step-grandaughter, Alexis Ringuette; lifelong friends, Kelly (Shimon) Laurich and Laura Chapman; and former husband, Paul Paquette. She is also survived by one brother, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her father.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
