Ishpeming, MI- Barbara J. Anderson-Roy, age 92, of 724 Duncan Ave Ishpeming, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Teal Lake Senior Living Community in Negaunee while in the loving care of her family, staff at Teal Lake Senior Living, and Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.

Barbara was born in Ishpeming, Michigan on March 5, 1930, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Delia (LaFave) Rock. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, Class of 1948.

Barbara waitressed at the Northwoods Supper Club for twenty plus years. She was a proud homemaker and always put the needs of her children before her own. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming.

Barbara is  survived by five children; Lowell (Lynn Hill) Anderson of Ishpeming, Gary (Sue) Anderson, of Green Bay, Bernie (Vikki) Anderson of De Pere, David (Karla) Anderson, of Scottsdale, AZ, and Diane (Lance) Gauthier of Ishpeming, two step sons Michael Roy, of Ishpeming and Mark Roy, of Ishpeming, 20 grandchildren Tammy (Ed) O'Brien, Aaron Anderson, Tina Anderson, Derek (Amy) Anderson, Dustin (Kari) Anderson, David (Dena) Anderson, Brooke (Brad) Spindler, Brad (Paige) Anderson, Vanessa (Alex) Grignon, Benjamin Anderson, Elijah Anderson, Travis (Brianna) Anderson, Rachel (Brett) Nicholas, Jason (Becky) Gauthier, Tyler (Erin) Gauthier, Zachry (Megan) Gauthier, Kelsi Gauthier, Angela (Andy) Gabelbauer, Jacob Roy, Joey (Erin) Roy, 39 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands; Melvin Anderson, and Norman Roy, brother Leslie Rock and sisters Bernadine Sanders, and Marilyn Mattila.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 15, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Christian Flagstadt officiating. Barbara's family will greet relatives and friends on Monday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.

Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barbara's grandchildren.

A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
