MARQUETTE, MI – Audrey M. Nardi, age 90, of Marquette and formerly of Ishpeming, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 8, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and with the compassionate care of UP Home Health and Hospice.

Audrey was born on March 28, 1936, in Ahmeek, Michigan, to Paul and Laura (Strand) Jarvela. She graduated from Ishpeming High School class of 1954. On July 23, 1955, Audrey married the love of her life, Philip Nardi, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ishpeming. Together, they shared 71 years of marriage, building a life centered around family, faith, and countless cherished memories.

Audrey devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She was a loving wife and mother who cared deeply for her children and took great pride in the family they built together. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with those she loved, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her kindness, warmth, and devotion will be remembered by her family for generations to come.

Faith was also an important part of Audrey’s life. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and participated in the St. Joseph Sewing Circle, St. Joseph Guild, and St. Joseph Choir. She and Phil moved to Marquette in 2016 and joined St. Christopher's Catholic Church. She also enjoyed the friendships and fellowship she found through square dancing, belonging to both the Ishpeming Grand Squares and the Marquette Whirlaways.

Audrey’s life was one of love, service, and devotion to others. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and the many nieces and nephews who were blessed to know her.

Audrey is survived by her husband of 71 years, Philip Nardi; her children, Susette (Dennis) Robinson, Philip P. (Karen) Nardi, Mark S. Nardi, and Gregory L. (Jamie) Nardi; her siblings, Donna Lundin, Paulette (Colin) Jacobetti, Sandy (Bruce) Lindberg, and Janice (Tom) LaFreniere; grandchildren, Heather (Ben) Phillips, Eric P. (Megan) Nardi, Jared Robinson, Jenna (Rick) Neaves, and Jacob (Shelby) Robinson; great-grandchildren, Grace and Sam Phillips, Raeleigh, Jordyn, Rivo, Errolyn, and Brady Robinson, and Joseph and Laura Nardi; sister-in-law, Marilyn Nardi; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Nease and Betty Carilli; brothers-in-law, Jerry Nease, Paul Carilli, and Francis Lundin; and a son-in-law, Michael Anderson.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Marquette on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and go until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Dan Moll will celebrate. A luncheon will take place in the church hall following mass.

Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Audrey’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Fr. Dan Moll and Sister Rosalee from St. Christophers Catholic Church. And the angels at UP Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate care and support, with special thanks to Janet, Marie, and Marilynn.

Audrey will be remembered most of all for the love she gave so freely to her family. Her life was a beautiful testament to the importance of family, faith, and caring for others. Though she will be greatly missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
