Ishpeming – Audrey S. Magnuson, age 89, formerly of 109 North Shore Dr. in Cooper Lake location passed away on Tuesday October 16, 2007 at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee where she had resided for the past nine months.


Audrey was born October 1, 1918 in Ishpeming the daughter of the late Edward and Effie (Cook) Stevens. She was a graduate of the Graveraet High School, Class of 1936. She married the late Ralph Magnuson in 1941 in Ishpeming. Audrey always called Ishpeming home, even in the years she moved with her husband to Hibbing, MN, Arizona and Cleveland for work purposes. Audrey and Ralph enjoyed traveling in their retirement years.


Audrey was a member of the Manx society, and the Grace Episcopal Church. She worked diligently on many class reunions for the Marquette Graveraet High School.


Survivors include a nephew Jim (Peggy) Stanaway of Marquette, a niece Judy (Don) Charles of Cornell, 6 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great great nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Magnuson in 1997 and a sister Beverly Stanaway.


A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday October 23, 2007 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Ishpeming with Rev. Manuel Padilla to officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 3:00pm until the time of services on Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Grace Episcopal Church.
