Ishpeming - Arlene J. "Beanie" Thexton, age 49, of 120 Ready St. Ishpeming, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at her home due to her long history of respiratory medical complications.

Arlene was born in Ishpeming on January 19, 1971, daughter of Bernard and the late Arlene (Langson) Thexton. Arlene was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1989.  She had worked as a cook and waitress at local restaurants.

Arlene enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, fishing or just sitting by a riverbank reading a good book. She loved playing mind retention games on her tablet in order to stay sharp, knitting, sewing and blueberry picking.  Most important to her was spending time with her grandchildren, niece and nephew.

Arlene is  survived by her lifelong partner for the past 23 years, Patrick J. Eman of Ishpeming; father Bernard Thexton of Ishpeming; daughter, Brittany Marie Stob, of Sault Ste Marie; brother William (Kristi) Thexton of Republic; sister Connie (Dave) Giese of Negaunee; grandson Seann Patrick Pietila, granddaughter Zoey Lou Stob, niece Nicole Jean Giese, nephew Dylan Lee Giese and beloved dog Roxy. She was preceded in death by her mother Arlene Gail Thexton, her grandfather William H. Thexton and her grandmother Borghild J. Thexton.

Per Arlene's wishes, cremation will take place along with a private service.

The Bork & Zhulkie Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
