Ishpeming- Arlene G. Thexton, age 67 of 726 E. Empire St. Ishpeming, passed away Friday, December 06, 2013 at the Bell Hospital.
Arlene was born December 31, 1945 in Ishpeming to William F. & Nemia Viola (Olgren) Langson. She graduated from Negaunee High School, class of 1965. Arlene enjoyed bear & deer hunting, fishing and spending time on her computer with facebook.
Arlene is survived by her husband Ben, whom she married June 26, 1965, 3 children: Connie (David) Giese of Negaunee, Arlene (Pat Eman) Thexton of Ishpeming and Bill Thexton of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren: Brittany Pietila, Dylan Giese and Nicole Giese, a great grandson Seann Pietila, 5 sisters: Carol Joki of Ishpeming, Viola Liubakka of Marquette, Corrine Hillis of Negaunee, Lois Hill of Ishpeming and Sally (Earl) McNally of Escanaba, a brother William Langson of Negaunee along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Fred Langson and 2 sisters: Florence Houseman and Eunice Hebert.
Arlene's family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 10th from 2:00-4:00pm at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home in Ishpeming.
