Negaunee- April Joy (Rodda) Stagliano, age 46 of Negaunee passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 27, 2014 in the presence of her loving family.

April was born on April 20, 1968 in Marquette to the late Frank & Margaret Rodda. She graduated from cosmetology school in 1996 and later went on to do social work at the Salvation Army.

Her greatest love was cooking. She also enjoyed music, camping with her husband, and spending time with her daughter and the rest of her family & friends.

Her survivors include husband George, who she married on October 11, 1997, her daughter Ashley Elvetici of Marquette, her step children Craig (Kathy) Stagliano of Negaunee, Christy (Robert) Baer of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren, 6 sisters: Joan Mathews, Teresa (David) Nault, ,Valerie (Gus) Jandreau, Theresa Elliot, Julie Elliot and Angie Elliot, 3 brothers: David Rodda, Leonard Rodda and Frank (Sara) Rodda, several nieces and nephews and heart adopted father Joel Jarvi and best friend Liz Nevela.

Greeted in heaven by her heart adopted mother Bonnie Jarvi, mother in law Lona Stagliano, brother in law Nicholas Valenti, sister Tammy Elliot and her beloved dog "Missy".

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm Wednesday October 1, 2014 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin McIlhany officiating.

April's family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00pm at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home

A dinner to celebrate her life will be held at the Salvation Army in Ishpeming following the service.
