Ishpeming – Anthony R. Moore, age 86, of 831 S. Pine St. passed away Thursday August 3, 2017 at his home while in the loving care of his family and the Lake Superior Home Health and Hospice.

Anthony was born 13 October 1930 in Ballston Spa, NY to the late Raymond and Anna (Lawlor) Moore.

Anthony is survived by three children: Michael, Michele (Meyers) and Daniel; one grandson: Johnathan Meyers, all of Ishpeming; one brother: John Moore of Edgewater, FL; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Edith (Green), and former son-in-law Ron Meyers.

Anthony spent a career in the US Army, 1948 – 1969, retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Subsequent to retiring he attended Northern Michigan University, graduating BA Summa cum Laude in 1973. He then worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Marquette for twenty-two years, holding several positions, finally retiring in 2002.

It can be said that he enjoyed retirement.

Per Anthony's wishes no memorial services will be held, may he rest-in-peace.
