Ishpeming- Anthony J. "Tony" Donato, age 76 of 1935 Stoneville Rd Ishpeming passed away Saturday June 10, 2017 at his home while in the loving care of his family and UP Home Health & Hospice.

Anthony was born May 17, 1941 in Ishpeming to Nicholas and Evelyn (Mathieson) Donato.  Tony served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1958-1962.  He worked in Norfolk, VA for a railroad company and later worked as a truck driver- car hauler for DMT from Jacksonville, FL where he lived for many years.

Tony enjoyed boating, fishing, water skiing and bowling.  He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino and family gatherings especially picnics.

Tony is survived by his wife Delouise "Dee" Donato, whom he married on October 23, 1994, a son Joseph Anthony Donato of Ishpeming, 2 sisters: Irene (Gert) Cevigney of Ishpeming, and Rosemarie (Dione) Cecchini of Ishpeming, 4 brothers: Rocco (Janet) Donato of Corona, CA, Ralph (Helen) Donato of Neenah, WI, James (Barbara) Donato of Ishpeming, and Nicholas Donato Jr. of Ishpeming, a step children: Rebecca Donato of North Carolina, Sharon (Ronald) Edwards of Hilliard, FL, and George Kevin Roach of Jacksonville Beach, FL, grandchildren: Victoria and Vincent Donato, step grandchildren: Tristan and Taylor Edwards, Tyler and Brett Roach along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Evelyn Donato, brothers: Victor, Arthur, Daniel and David Donato and 2 sisters: Mary Lou Suardini and Stella Ball.

Tony's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00am-10:30am on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 am with Fr. Larry Van Damme officiating.  A luncheon will follow at K/D Hall at St. Johns Church.

Military honors will be accorded by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #380.

Inurnment will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.
