Ishpeming, MI- Ann Marie Tassone, the heart and soul of her family, passed away on March 3, 2022, at her home in Ishpeming, Michigan surrounded by loved ones. She was 84 years old.

Ann Marie was born Ann Marie Denofre on August 28 ^th , 1937, to Tony and Edna Denofre in Negaunee, MI.  She remembered being loved from the moment she was born as she was the first girl of the family and a bright spot for not only her parents but her grandparents, aunts and uncle as well. After being the only girl with 4 brothers, resulting in her nickname "Sister", she finally got the little sister she always wanted. Ann Marie graduated from St. Paul Catholic School in Negaunee and then attended beauty school in Marquette, where she discovered her love of being not only a beautician, but a true nurturer for all who sat in her chair.

In February of 1958 she met the love of her life, Dominic "Mickey" Tassone and they were married that October. Together they had three lovely daughters, Angela, Lisa, and Gina, who she stayed home to raise.  After the girls were grown, Ann Marie managed the Mather Nursing Home beauty shop for 21 years where she brightened the day of every person she came in contact with, whether she did their hair or not.  She would hold the heads up for those who could not on their own so that they could see their reflection in the mirror, telling them how beautiful they were.

Ann Marie is survived by her husband Dominic Tassone, daughters Angela and Lisa Tassone, sister Alberta (Dennis) Tasson, grandchildren Sylvianna Baccarelli, Natalia (Chelsey) Baccarelli, Eliza, Julia, and Griffin Hamer, great grandson Dominic Scheitel, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Edna Denofre, daughter Gina, and brothers Mickey, Jere, Jackie and Jimmy.

Ann Marie saw the world through rose colored glasses, always seeing the good in people. She loved nothing more than sitting around a table surrounded by great company, and of course, a few sweets.  The door to her home was always open, as were her arms for anyone in need of a hug.  She will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.  We will carry her in our hearts forever.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 8, 2022, at St. John's Catholic Church in Ishpeming followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm with Fr. Ryan Ford officiating.
