Obituary
Ishpeming Twp - Ann L. Tasson, age 75 of 1595 Glenwood Lane, Ishpeming, passed away February 27, 2008 at her home under the loving care of her family and UP Home Health & Hospice.
Ann was born June 8, 1932 in Ishpeming to Romono and Louise (Pepin) Mariuzza. Ann was nothing less than a exceptional mother, sister, grandmother and devoted wife. Ann loved get togethers with her family, cooking, baking and shopping. She enjoyed years of walking & gardening. As "snow birds" Ann and her husband spent winters in Delray Beach Florida and looked forward to family coming to visit and taking them to Disney World. She was a member of the Wawonowin Country Club for over 30 years. She was a wonderful grandmother to all her grandchildren and held a special place in her heart for each one of them. Ann had a strong faith in church and you would always find her sitting in the front pew. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming.
Ann is survived by her husband whom she married December 2, 1950, Vincent Tasson, 3 Children: Michael J. (Cathy Jacobson), Carol (Scott) Bjork and Clare (William) Tasson Stankorb all of Ishpeming, 2 sisters: Cecilia Nardi of Naperville, IL and Teresa Mariuzza of North Lake, 7 grandchildren: Steven (Jamie) Tasson, Clay (Jill) Tasson, Rachael (Greg) Annala, Sarah Bjork, Stephanie (Donnie) Stanaway, Stacey Nault and Kaylee Nault, 9 great grandchildren: Devin, Caitlyn, Tyler, Tanner, MaKayla, Anna, Taylor, Noah, Faith and several nieces and nephews. Ann also had a special place in her heart for her caregiver Lynn who became her friend and family. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Romono and Louise Mariuzza.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 6:00pm, Friday, February 29, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming with Fr. Greg Heikkala officiating. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
The family will greet friends and relatives at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, February 29th 2008, from 2:30pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
Pallbearers will be Steven & Clay Tasson, Scott Bjork, Harold Richards, Greg Annala and Ray Gonzales.
Memorial considerations may be directed to Bell Hospital/Bell Foundation or to U.P. Home Health and Hospice in memory of Ann.
