Ishpeming, MI - Ann M. Pietro, age 83, of 880 Co Rd. PRG, Ishpeming, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at her home while in the loving care of her family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice

Ann was born in Ishpeming on October 28, 1940, a daughter of the late Josephine (Violetta) and Thomas A. Richards. She was a graduate of the Negaunee High School, Class of 1958. She married Roger A. Pietro on July 11, 1959, and together they raised their family in the Green Creek location south of Ishpeming, with Ann being a devoted homemaker.

Ann was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she had served on the Church Council.  Ann volunteered with the Girl Scouts of the USA for 30 years, serving locally as a leader and council President along with being a national volunteer.  Ann served as the treasurer for Tilden Twp. for many years. Ann's family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to Lisa Violetta for her heartfelt caring shown to Ann during her illness.

Survivors include her husband Roger A. Pietro, a son, Roger T. Pietro, two daughters, Ellen (Keith Magnuson) Talbacka, and Janice (Rusty) Johnson all of the Ishpeming area, a brother, Thomas "Tim" Richards of Gainesville, FL, 4 grandchildren, Joel (Krista Musselman) Talbacka, Jesse (Andrea) Lapin, Haleigh Johnson, Samantha Johnson;  great grandchildren - Kaitlyn and Emma; along with Britny and Carleigh, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Leigh Ann Gervae and a sister-in-law Sonja Richards.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 180 CO Rd PPO, Ishpeming. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 PM on Friday at the Faith Lutheran Church  with Rev. Steve Solberg officiating. Ann's service will be livestreamed at facebook.com/faithinishpeming/ A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in the spring at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
