Ishpeming – Ann M. Neubauer, age 82, formerly of 327 S. Main St. Ishpeming passed away at 7:05am on Friday March 11, 2011 at the Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming Twp. where she had resided for the past 3 years.


Ann was born September 24, 1928 in Pound, WI the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora (McEncroe) Neubauer. Ann moved to the Ishpeming area at a young age. Following graduation from Ishpeming High School, Ann attended Northern Michigan University from which she received her teaching degree. Ann taught at elementary schools in Pontiac and East Detroit prior to her retirement. She has resided in Ishpeming since her retirement, and was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.


Survivors include Alice Taylor of Palm Harbor, FL, nieces and nephews – Barbara Weir of Canton, MI, Michael Fagan, James Fagan, Tom Fagan and Maureen Fagan all of Redford, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00noon on Tuesday March 15, 2011 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of services at St. John's Catholic Church in Ishpeming.
