Marquette – Anita A. Jossens, age 70, of 169 W. Fairbanks St., Marquette, MI passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette where she had been a resident for the past week and a half.
Anita was born June 23, 1945 in Marquette, MI the daughter of the late Tony C. and Dorothy H. (Haslett) Dallas. She married the late Larry Jossens and together they raised two daughters. She loved her family with all her heart. Anita was a member of the Marquette Missionary Church where she would be remembered for dancing in her pew during the worship service. Anita enjoyed singing karaoke on Friday nights at the Dry Dock with Pierre Ogea. She truly loved nature along with all pets and had a knack for creating artistic designs.
Survivors include her daughters – StacyLynn Jossens Wilkerson Miller and her husband Craig Miller of Cupar, SK, Canada, and Tina Jossens-Carilli and her husband David Carilli of Palmer, a brother David (Deb) Dallas of Marquette, 4 grandchildren – Amber and Travis Wilkerson & Dylan and Drew Patraw, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Jossens in 2005, an aunt Mary Dallas and a sister Michel Dallas who passed away in her childhood.
