Ely Twp., - Alice M. Cittadino, age 95, former Michigamme and Ely Twp. resident passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.

Alice was born in Chicago, IL on April 6, 1928, a daughter of the late Georgiana (Steinly) and Edward Neidel. She and her late husband Aldo moved to Michigamme in 1971.  She had worked locally for Champion International as a Woodland Clerk for over 20 years and had also served has Michigamme Twp Treasurer for many years.

Alice was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Champion and a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Michigamme.  Alice cherished her family and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed tending to her gardens in the summer months and could always be counted on when it came to family meal preparations.

Alice is survived by five children: Cindy (David) Sessions of Fishers, IN, Joe (Lisa) Cittadino of Atoka, TN, Teresa (Dan) Currie of Ishpeming, Mike (Sandy) Cittadino of Ishpeming and Pete (Sandy) Cittadino of Three Lakes, 11 grandchildren: Jessica (Scott) Elliott, Joe (Holly) Cittadino, Brendan (Kristy) Currie, Katie (Jason Young) Currie, Tony Cittadino, Joshua (Danielle) Cittadino, Jason (Kelly) Cittadino, Karissa (Drew) Ahonen, Abby (Steve) Kulju, Leslie (Greg) Frake and Kelly (Justin) Coluzzi, along with numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren, a brother, George (Shirley) Neidel, of San Jose, CA, and many nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Aldo in 2010 and a brother Edward Neidel.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00am – 12:00pm on Thursday July 6, 2023, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Champion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm at with Fr. Christian Flagstadt officiating. Interment will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery in Michigamme. A light luncheon will follow the services in the church hall.
