Ishpeming – Alfred Frank Ongie, age 77, of 1060 School Street in Ishpeming passed away on March 7, 2021 at his home.

Alfred was born to Fred and Evelyn (Jandron) Ongie on May 5, 1943 in Marquette.

He worked for Ropes Gold Mine for a number of years and later in life he worked for the Lake View Arena. He loved fishing and to go for rides in the country. Most of all he enjoyed his time to himself.

Survived by his daughter, Becky (Steve) Juchemich, special nephew Ron (Sarah) Gauthier and their children Hailey, Micheal, Noah, and special friend Linda.

He is also survived by his brothers Clifford Jandron of Marquette, Robert (Laura) Stone of Wisconsin, Roy Stone Jr. of Georgia, sisters Carol and Sandy Stone of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and sister, Belmere Wendt.

A private graveside service will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery at a later date. The Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
