Ishpeming- Alex "Goldz" Goldsworthy, age 32, lifelong Ishpeming resident, passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 13, 2024 at his home.

Alex was born on April 15, 1992 in Ishpeming, son of Carrie (Swanson) Goldsworthy, and the late William Goldsworthy. He grew up in Ishpeming and graduated from Ishpeming High School with the class of 2011. Following graduation he attended NMU where he earned his associate degree in Hospitality Management. Alex worked as a clerk at Circle K, (Holiday) in Ishpeming for several years.

Alex loved playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, singing, being with his friends, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. His passion for loving and being loved was known by anyone who knew him.

Alex is survived by his mother- Carrie Goldsworthy, brother- Andy Goldsworthy, along with all his much loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father- Bill Goldsworthy, maternal grandparents- Ted and Cathy Swanson, paternal grandparents- William and Eleanor Goldsworthy, uncle- Tom Goldsworthy, and cousin- Ryan Filizetti

Alex's family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday September 21, 2024 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ishpeming. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm with Rev. Steve Solberg officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall.
