Ishpeming- Albert A. Engstrom, age 91 of 600 Jopling Ave, Ishpeming, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility.

Albert was born September 30, 1916 in Ishpeming to Harold & Mary (Carlson) Engstrom. Albert worked for Robbins Flooring Mill as a lumber grader for many years, retiring in 1980.

Albert was a member of the Salisbury United Methodist Church, where he was active in many church activities, including the men's group and choir. Albert was also a member of the Ishpeming Pioneer Kiwanis and the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, Ahmeek Lodge #150.

Albert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara (Jenkins) Engstrom, 3 children, Rick (Sharon) Engstrom of Alpena, Peter (Sandi) Engstrom of Ishpeming and Barbara "Bee" Engstrom of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren, Joshua (Elaine) Engstrom of Bellville, MI, Nathan (Elizabeth) Engstrom of Alpena, MI and Rachel Engstrom of Long Beach, CA, along with nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roland & Leonard Engstrom.

Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Salisbury United Methodist Church, Ishpeming with Rev. Terri Branstrom officiating. Burial will take place at Northland Chapel Gardens.

Friends may call at the Salisbury United Methodist Church on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of service at 11:00am.
