Michigamme- Agnes C. West, age 78 of Michigamme, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she was a resident since 2004.

Agnes was born in Michigamme on November 26, 1928 to Wesley and Eleanor Howe. She attended Michigamme High School and graduated in 1946. Agnes enjoyed painting ceramics and craft work.

Agnes is survived by 3 brothers Myles (Betty) Howe, James (Jean) Howe, and John (Marian) Howe all of Michigamme, step sons: Keith (Joyce) West and Kevin (Renee) West from Ohio, several step grandchildren and nieces & nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents and husband Archer West.

Honoring her wishes there will be no visitation and interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Michigamme at a later date.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the loving and devoted staff at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility who helped with her care all the years she lived and who were such a comfort to her and her family at the end, also to Dr. Grossman and the many others who helped.
