IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Adele L.
Harnett
September 29, 1930 – November 16, 2021
Ishpeming, MI - Adele L. Harnett, age 91, of 210 N. Marigold St. Ishpeming, MI, joined her Father in heaven on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, under the compassionate care of family and staff at UP Health System Bell following a short period of discomfort that followed her happy and healthy years of life.
Adele was born in Ishpeming on September 29, 1930, daughter of the late Bernadette (Giguere) and Joseph Perrault. She graduated from Ishpeming High School, Class of 1949. Being a lifelong resident of Ishpeming her Hematite roots included working at the Newberry Store in her early years holding a variety of positions, raising a family with her husband Kenny, and being an ultimate homemaker.
Adele was loved by her friends and family for her kindness, gentle love, and her gift of baking. No one could leave a visit to her house without something to eat. She enjoyed spending time with her precious grandkids and great grandkids, playing cards with them, feeding them, and hosting warm conversations around her kitchen table. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, attending Negaunee City Band concerts, and many visits and lunches with her friends. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. It was her calming, warm spirit that made the occasional zippy saying fill the room with laughter and create a new favorite memory for her company. Adele held her family close including her necklace engraved with the portrait of her late husband Kenny who she is finally reconnected with after more than 17 years apart.
Adele is survived by a son, Michael (Brenda) Harnett of Ishpeming; grandchildren Jon (Toni Pellonpaa) Harnett, Gina (Ben) Kivela and great granddaughter Lucy Kivela; a daughter, Adele (Gary) Price of Negaunee; granddaughter Lisa (Kyle) Saari and great grandsons Easton and Landen; grandson, Brian (Kaylin) Price and a great grandson expected in April 2022; grandson Kevin (Ashley) Price and great grandson Blake Christian; daughter-in-law Julie (Dean) Salmonson of Ishpeming, granddaughter Sarah (Nick) Linna and great grandsons Grady and Jack; a brother, Ray (Carol) Perrault of Ishpeming; sister-in-law Rita Perrault of Negaunee, along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Adele was preceded in death by her husband Ken Harnett, son Ray Harnett, and brothers, Joe Paul (Barbara) and Clifford "Pito" Perrault.
