Aaron D.
Butterfield
May 15, 1974 – May 13, 2026
Aaron Dean Butterfield, a man who could fix anything and make anyone laugh while doing it, passed away on May 13, 2026, just two days before his 52nd birthday.
A resident of Ishpeming, Michigan, Aaron lived life on his own terms — with a joke ready and a skill for every situation. A true jack of all trades, Aaron had a gift for figuring things out. But it was his spirit — goofy and irreplaceable — that left the deepest mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Aaron is survived by his children, Koy (Makayla) Stache, Caden Luoma, and Lorella Luoma; his beloved grandchildren, Aikley, Eisley, and Bodhi; his sisters, Ashley Krook and Whitney (Josh) Hebert; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his longtime life love and the mother of his children, Jenna Luoma. He leaves behind a circle of people who loved him deeply and will carry his laughter with them always.
Aaron, you were one of a kind. May your spirit watch over the ones you loved so dearly, and may you rest peacefully in the arms of your mother and father once again.
We take comfort knowing you are reunited with your mother and father, and we'll feel you in every laugh, every moment, every day.
A private Celebration of Life (Invite Only) will be held. Guests are welcome to bring a dish to pass.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support Aaron's children in paying for unexpected funeral expenses. For more information, please visit: https://www.gofundme.com/f/koy-caden-rella-need-our-support-after-losing-their-dad
